They knew. I dontknow how but they knew they were on the way home. Anamazing reunion on Christmas Eve. I brought them to the apt. their family was living in. When they walked in these little babies, who didnt take to strangers immediately, ran into the house and jumped all over mom and dad. They were estatic and I, of course, was in tears. I sat talking with the family for almost an hour. While I weas talking to Mom I heard Dad saying over and over, " I am so sorry babies, I will never leave you again....never". I had a tough time holding in tears this whole time.
As I prepared to leave, I thanked them for a wonderful Christmas gift...being a part of this reunion. Dad thanked me, told me I had just brought them their Christmas, and then said how perfect it being Christmas Eve and all. I told him to stop or I was going to start crying again. He told me he was barely holding it in. Well, I had to give him a hug. He lost it....tears came aflowing. Then my tears and Moms tears. It was....the best Christmas gift I received. As I left the house Sassy was curled on mommas lap, Suling was showing off a toy to Daddy and Yancie was right at Mommas feet. What a great trip!!
PS...These wonderful people lost everything ....everything. Here I was with a home, etc. and they gave me a thank you gift. I cant tell you what that felt like, opening this gift up and it really sinking in how much this meant to them...me bringing their babies home. They have nothing left, yet they still made sure to give to me...more tears (:

Known as "The Cathedral of the Cotswolds".
Part of the church dates back to at least the 12th century; but it was the wealth of the local wool merchants in the 15th century that transformed it.

My Birthday is on Christmas Eve and since we usually go to my parents for Christmas Eve, my hubby always takes my gift with us and gives it to me at their house.
First thing Christmas Eve morning, he woke me up to give me my gift and it was a tripod for my camera. Of course, I had to try it out and this is me just out of bed, no makeup, hair not fixed, still in my pajamas!!
Pretty scary, huh?!! At least I wasn't in my Birthday Suit!

---
My parents talk that until thirty years ago, was normal to find Nacimientos without figures of ceramics or clay. Custom was too strong or people was too poor, but they adorned their Nacimientos only with figures like shows the photo.
People drew many different animals in white paper with a black pencil, they trimmed them out of edge and they hit them on pine with cera de Campeche, a wax or gel that smells good.
This year we have an agreement at home, and we try to revive this mexican tradition. These are my drawings.. What you did expect? I only studied two years of three obligatory in pre-school. (Excuse my english)

I love sitting under the tree on christmas eve. when everything is done (or as done as it's going to be) and there is no more stress. with no other lights on, just the glow of the tree and the fire. it brings back all of the christmas past and i am flooded with all of these wonderful memories.
I wish that each of you have a warm, safe and wonderful christmas. one that is full of love, laughs and special surprises. one that is full of giving, but not necessarily receiving. one that is full of family and friends, no matter how far away they are. and one that is just like every christmas that my family and friends have always given me.

2 And so it was that while they were there the days were accomplished that she should be delivered.
7 And she brought forth her first born son and wrapped him in swaddling clothes and laid him in a manger because there was no room in the inn
8 And there were in the same country sheperds abiding in the field keeping watch over there flock by night.
9 And lo the angel of the Lord came upon them and the glory of the Lord shone round about them and they were afraid.
10 And the angel said unto them Fear not for behold I bring you good tidings of great joy which shall be to all people
11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour which is Christ the Lord
12 And this shall be a sign unto you Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes lying in a manger
13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God in the highest and on earth peace goodwill toward men!

We've had a lot of deaths in the family in the last few years, so for those of us that are left, the holidays are pretty tough. Thanksgiving was so bad that I decided that it was time to switch things up a little bit and host Christmas at my house (the first time we've had a holiday somewhere other than my grandmother's house).
It was the first holiday that we've been together and laughing and not maudlin and somber in at least 5 years.
we had: prime rib with au jus and horseradish, sundried tomato garlic mashed potatoes, pear, pomegranate, ginger and cinnamon salad, marinated tomatoes with olives and green onions, mulled cider and spice cake and strawberries in chocolate fondue.
a success all-round. Very nice to see my grandmother smiling again for the first Christmas since she lost both her daughters.
